D'Art for Art Supports the Lighthouse ArtCenter
The Wellington Art Society recently received the informative letter from the Lighthouse ArtCenter that I thought was worth sharing.
Dear “Art of Association” Artists,
Thank you for participating in our annual “Art of Association” exhibition. It is such a wonderful showcase for the many talented artists here in South Florida. We are happy to be able to present the exhibit each year.
As you know, the continued success of the Lighthouse ArtCenter is dependent on our members, donors and our fundraisers. D’Art for Art is one of our major fundraisers, and it is made possible by the generous donations from artists in our community. Tickets guests at the event leave with the ultimate party favor – a beautiful piece of art!
We hope that you will consider donating a piece of art to D’Art for Art this year. Your contributions make this successful event possible!
If you haven’t yet donated yet, we need your help! Please donate a piece of signed original art, ceramics or photography, as well as hand-crafted furniture, jewelry or fiber art.
Your artwork will be on exhibit in the museum from November 1 through November 7.The exhibit will be judged and awards will be presented on November 1.
You will be invited to our Artists’ Appreciation and Collectors’ Preview Party on Saturday, November 1, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It's to thank donating artists (and guest) who will enjoy delicious food and an open bar
Please say “yes” and bring your donation to the museum on or before October 24, 2014.

Customer Appreciation Night at Jerry's Artarama
WAS Members,
Our Community Partner and Sponsor, Jerry’s Artarama has invited us for another WAS Appreciation Day.
Manager Laurie will be doing an exciting demo on EBRU – a centuries old style of water painting- very cool!
Refreshments and wonderful $avings are part of the festivities. Invite a friend, carpool , join the fun!

Call to Artists for Wellington Community Center Deadline Extended
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10TH.
Art should be on display for all to enjoy. Everyone enjoys our lovely paintings at the Community Center. Come and be part of another outstanding exhibit!
CALL TO ARTISTS FOR WELLINGTON COMMUNITY CENTER
It's time for a new exhibit at the Community Center Gallery. Now is the time to showcase your latest art and provide a wonderful exhibit for the many people who pass through the Community Center! We have ample wall space for every size piece of art. The applications and photos are due on Friday October 10 with a change out on Wednesday, October 15th from 3:30-5 PM. Please remember: no glass on paintings, plexiglass only and wire on the back for hanging. The exhibit will be up for three months. Applications and photos should be sent to WAS, P.O. Box 212943, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33421.
