WAS Members have been invited to participate in a local art contest that challenges us to share peace and hope through our art.
Theme: With the social unrest that is happening in our world – the Middle East, Africa, Europe and United States, for most this signals that times are changing. If you could use art as a way to shed some warmth on people’s lives, What would you as the artist create? Using either Acrylic, Oil, or Watercolor, represent how “The brush is mightier than the sword.”

Submission info: Contestant may either 1. Drop their works of art at our studio (Dance4Art) or 2. Upload it to our website, Dance4Art, or 3. Email a PDF or JPG image of the artwork to: romario.dance4art@gmail.com AND editor@aroundwellington.com. They will all be judged the same! Please include your: name, mailing address, email address, phone number and name of the artwork when submitting.**
Deadline: The deadline for submissions is Friday, Feb. 27th. Winners will be announced on AroundWellington.com under “Contest” on March 1st.
