Great Summer Weather for an Art Show

It's January in Florida, and usually that means it's a little cool out, maybe in the 60's. Well, we've been rocking the 80's for the past four weeks, and our recent outdoor art show was no exception. The Wellington Art Society kicked off the South Florida art show season with our two-day ArtFest on the Green January 5 and 6. With over 40 talented artists, music all day at the Wellington Amphitheater, and this great Florida winter weather, the crowds couldn't keep away from this fun event.

Quite a few of our members showed and sold their artwork at this show. For the first time, we gave cash prizes for the winners. One of them was Patricia Astudillo. Here she is with her beautiful handmade purses and other artwork.

Jean Talbott makes beautiful fused glass pendants and bowls.

Here are Ilene Adams and Linda Rovolis in front of their booth, enjoying the sun with Suzanne Redmond and Bobbin Salisbury.

Bobbin sold her beautiful watercolors in her booth.

Sharon Segal paints with acrylics. Here she is in her booth.

This art show would not have happened without the hard work of our many volunteers. Here is Donna Donelan with Jan Hoyt in our Wellington Art Society welcome tent. Donna was instrumental in securing many of our volunteers for the event.

Roehl Acosta seemed to be entertaining the most people in his booth. Here he is with many of his WAS friends.

Bobby Gugliuzza entertained the crowds with his music. He often plays at the Wellington Amphitheater.

Here are Adrianne Hetherington and Corinne Ingerman with their artwork.

The beautiful weather attracted lots of art lovers and buyers. We hope to see you at next year's event.
