Summer's Over -- Did You Miss These Shows?

After three months without membership meetings, we kicked off the new season with a lively welcome back to our members at our September Open House. We don't take time off from displaying our members' art, though. We had quite a few wonderful art exhibits this summer, and in case you missed them, I'm going to post some of the artwork here in the next few weeks.

First of all, one of our longest-running exhibits is our display of artwork at the City of Wellington's Community Center. We're all familiar with that space, because that is where we hold our monthly meetings. This artwork is located in the Card Room, and is seen by many groups who use that room as well as the large Grand Cypress Room for their meetings and events.

We usually can fit about a dozen paintings, depending on their sizes. Any 2D medium is welcome: oil paint, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, pen and ink.

This first one is an oil painting by Hildegard Donavan. It is 20" x 24" and is called "Poppys."

Joanne Baker MacLeod painted "Bobcat with Cubs" in oil, 34 1/2" x 26 1/2".

Here is another oil painting by Joanne Baker MacLeod called "Middleton Oak," 34 1/2" x 26 1/2".

"Early Morning in Zhouzhuang" is pigment on canvas, by Nancy Brown, 34" x 47".

"Textures," by Bobbin Salisbury, is 24" x 18".

"Window View" by BettyJane Heiser Zedonek is acrylic and colored pencil, 16" x 20".

Bobbin Salisbury made "Rain on the Tulips" in acrylic, 20" x 16".
