Dare Yourself to Make Some Art

At each of our monthly meetings, we like to challenge our members to make some new art. April's theme was "April Showers." Here are some of the new artworks.

Bobbin Salisbury created some new watercolors. She posted them on her Facebook page, and immediately sold one. Way to go, Bobbin!

Huguette Berzon also made some new art.

Leslie Pfeiffer is really perfecting her encaustic art techniques, as you can see here.

BettyJane Zedonek made a few paintings.

Here's one more that will soon be hanging in the Wellington Community Center Card Room.

Marie Lentine made beautiful flowers on her piece. We later saw pictures of her flowers that she added to Maria Ranieri's wall mural.

Alice Pearline also brought a piece to share.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, May 9. At 6:00, we will be awarding scholarships to four area high school seniors who have been taking many art classes, and wish to pursue art in college. At 6:30, our meeting will begin with our next members' challenge, "Step Out of Your Box." Let's see what you can come up with from that theme.
